This site is based on  a series of columns written by Chuck McClaugherty and originally published in The Review“, Alliance, Ohio’s daily newspaper. The purpose is to  increase appreciation of nature with an emphasis on northeastern Ohio. The author is on the faculty of the University of Mount Union and has served as the Director of the University’s John T. Huston – Dr.John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center since 1988. You can visit his Mount Union website at raider.mountunion.edu/~mcclauca  or return to the parent site Oh Nature!
